Appalachian Higher Education Network 2012 Summer Meeting
A primary focus of the meeting was to help participants learn ways that AHE centers can help increase postsecondary enrollment in their states. Several representatives from West Virginia's higher education system discussed how West Virginia addresses its college-going challenges. In addition, on July 18, College Board director of state policy and strategy Dane Linn discussed state policies and actions that support increased college-going rates. He highlighted illustrative activities in each of the nine states currently operating Appalachian Higher Education programs.
Current AHE Network business addressed at the meeting included mapping the college-going programming in the Appalachian region of each state and identifying best practices among AHE programs.
