Join ARC ARISE grantee The Trust for Public at a free, virtual workshop series focused on Appalachia’s outdoor recreation economies. Learn from experts across the region, connect and collaborate with peers, and walk away with the skills and resources to achieve your community’s outdoor recreation goals.
The first series will take place over three workshops on Thursdays from 12–1:30pm ET between September–November 2026, and will cover the following topics:
September 10: Outdoor Recreation Economies: Benefits and Risks
October 8: Messaging & Engagement for Community-Led Vision
November 5: Your Outdoor Recreation Vision and Framework
Participation is FREE and OPEN TO ALL communities located in Appalachia as defined by the Appalachian Regional Commission, including municipalities, counties, nonprofit partners, and tribal entities. Participants will have priority access to additional technical assistance offerings, including TPL’s individualized research and project support.
