Community Capacity-Building Pilot:
Bank of Credits

ARC invites proposals from qualified organizations to provide and oversee the deployment of technical assistance services to local development districts (LDDs) that are supporting communities using American Rescue Plan Act Local Fiscal Recovery Fund dollars to drive economic transformation. Proposals due January 14, 2022.

Evaluation of ARC’s INvestments Supporting Partnerships in Recovery Ecosystems (INSPIRE) Initiative
ARC invites proposals from qualified consultants to conduct an evaluation of the INSPIRE initiative, a grant program aimed at helping communities and states address the workforce impacts of the substance use disorder crisis. Proposals due February 17, 2022.

J-1 Visa Waiver Program

The U.S. Public Health Services has designated many Appalachian communities as Health Professional Shortage Areas. Under certain circumstances, ARC will consider recommending a waiver of the foreign residence requirement on behalf of physicians holding J-1 Visas to place medical providers in these communities to address the Region’s healthcare needs.
