Session 1 – Introducing INSPIRE

Tuesday, October 6, 2020

What is the INSPIRE Initiative, and how can it support a recovery ecosystem in your community? During this first session, ARC experts will discuss the purpose and vision of the INSPIRE Initiative, and provide an overview of the current Request for Proposals (RFP).

Session 2 – Developing an INSPIREd Application

Tuesday, October 13, 2020

What makes for a competitive INSPIRE application? Building on session one, ARC experts will walk through key points in the Request for Proposals (RFP) including how to demonstrate demand through a statement of need; align project proposals with ARC’s strategic goals and relevant state plans; project outputs and outcomes; select effective partnerships; and develop an accurate budget and budget narrative.

Session 3 – Getting INSPIREd by Others

Tuesday, October 20, 2020

What other organizations are working on recovery ecosystems in Appalachia, and how are they doing it? This session will feature a conversation between ARC experts and the Fletcher Group, which launched RHOAR (the Recovery, Hope, Opportunity and Resiliency Initiative) in 2019 to help rural communities in coal-impacted eastern Kentucky address the opioid epidemic. RHOAR’s unique collaborative approach is working to expand recovery facilities while providing educational opportunities, job training and meaningful employment to establish a strong recovery ecosystem.
